Works great

I bought this for iPhone a long time ago and always liked it. The new iPad update is great. No crashes on iPad wifi 64 GB.

I want to love it, but it crashes every time I open the app

I am running ios 3.2.2 on my iPad. This was just made into a universal app. Correct? Why does it crash after about half a second if the jasuto logo coming on screen? Further more. It worked great before the last two updates. Frustrating. Yes I have rebooted my iPad and done a hard reset. This is getting ridiculous. Please fix this bug.

BEST

Simply as an effects box it is the best. I use it for guitar looping/effects/cab/amp simulation primarily. Convolution with IR loading is on the way, but current FFT/iFFT still rocks! As a recorder/looper - the best As a dynamic synth - the best Flexibilty is the best Forum is most supportive Developer the most responsive Buy it and you will understand.

Awesome before update, only a cool icon now

This thing was amazing before the update, now it will only initialize the load screen, then crash back to home screen, this is sad, I guess Ill uninstall it and reload the unupdated version.

Reconsider rating

After many hours of trying to figure this app out the light is starting to brighten. I now see the logic in its sound generation system more like a buchala modular than moog. I am now getting some effect like sounds and its become addictive. After stumbling on to the motion tab the app started to make sense. Please add some basic documentation on the module interaction still a very complex concept. I was upset with my first day and it really needs some slow and complete vids to walk thru all the basic concepts.

Chris is smart.

The update crashes on iTouch 3.1.2 . Though when its fixed and if the buyer learns how to implement the power this app contains then its money well spent. An excellent app regardless the present crashing bug. Buy it. Youll like it.

CRASH!

Warning! Crashes at opening screen with newest updates!

Just WOW,, BUT...

Im kind of pissed off that the price dropped to 1.99,, i spent 10$ on this just a week ago. .... So yeah,, i am not happy about that......but it is a golden app

Orientation

Would be five stars if it wasnt upside down in landscape when using the Apple iPad case.

Not for beginner

Be forewarned, this is not an app for a beginner. Couldnt make heads or tails of this even with in app help pdf. So may be five stars for a pro, but one star for a neophyte. An expensive lesson.

Infuriating

Loved Jasuto 2 versions ago but now its just infuriating. It did so much before. its nowt.

Just got it...........

Like what i see so far......cant wait to delve in further.

Beyond description.

I cant even put into words how great this app really is. I was not expecting anything this powerful to ever come out for the iPad. As a fan of the ReacTable app and real life modular synthesizers this is like an endless playground for me. If you are debating on getting this app let me give you some advice.. If you know anything about the process of sound synthesis or have some decent knowledge of analog synthesizers this app is most definitely for you. If you are just another one of millions of toolbags that thinks you are a musician because you can 1. auto sync tracks with djay or whatever 2.play a couple samples of other peoples music with a cheesy beat on top and then call it your own then please dont waste your time. And while we are at it, stop giving us all a bad name.

awesome, but extremely complex

this app is really pretty incredible. ive been messing around for a couple days and have been starting to get some pretty cool sounds. it could really use a better instruction manual to explain more of the seemingly endless possibilities.

Amazement

This application has me over the edge in amazement. Every time I open it up I have to take a minute just to let how great it is sink in before I get to work. This is a little bit of a overwhelmer though. It took watching the developers YT videos many times before some of the functions made themselves clear. If you happen to take the plunge I really do suggest taking the time to learn this one or you might just feel like you are trying to read a Japanese website with English eyes. It is not very hard to get the basics down but the real magic comes from the possibilities. As in they are endless. Well almost. The CPU is the only limit here. I have found myself spending hours doing just little things like making a one note sound and tweak on it for way too long. I really wish I could master this software and I am sure I will get better in time. I really want to create a huge scene that could produce a full bands worth of music. Also it might be fair to tell folks that it works great with the irig so if you are looking for a new way to add effects and possibly synth up your rig a bit then plugging into Jasuto might make your day nit certainly did mine. I have played with tons of synths and this one makes experimenting so easy and forgiving that it begs to be done every time you load up. If you are at all a fan of making synth music or just wanted a way to program your own synth then this $5 app will give you a lifetimes worth of synth space. All it takes is a little time and effort and this can easily become a new hobby unto itself. Great work by this developer means I am now loyal and look forward to anything and everything he puts out. Do yourself a favor and get your brain working and check this thing out. It is unreal. Be warned though. This is not a total handholding affair. You probably will run into situation where you wont understand. Fear not as everything that has a question has an answer and there is a good chance someone before you has had a similar experience. All it really take is a moment to find it before you go and knock the app in your rating. It will also help tremendously if you are up to par on your synth terms so you can better set up your dream synth without worry. The kid that was crying about only having glide should check his release setting as this is a common term/parameter used to control the release of a note. Imagine that. Change that number and notes hold or release quicker. There also seem to be other minor issues I read that just seem to be from users not taking the time to watch the 7 tutorial video the developer has kindly made. Watch these. They will help. I had trouble with my first attempt getting the nodes to connect. I had no idea you needed to tap and drag across the screen as to highlight the group you want to wire up. Its little things like that, that will cause folks to rush to rate and hurt the developers chances to sell a great product. All right guys thats it from me. Its a long one. Its been fun. Back to work. Later.

Worth the money

This app is easily the most powerful synth in the app store, but its developer seams to have abandoned the project. Bugs and requests go unchecked for months and is missing some pretty basic stuff. CONSIDERING how great this app is, its a shame the dev doesnt communicate with his customers at all. To his credit last I heard he is working on Jasuto Studio. You cannot record past 47 seconds, no core midi, the interface can be a bit clumsy past the basic stuff, and you cannot sequence past 4 bars. That said, If Jasuto Studio is a update then definitely buy this app, if not be wary of a dead end.

abandoned

Author appears to have abandoned this app. Could be nice, but needs work - which apparently its not going to get. Avoid.

Unique

This is certainly a unique interface and it has tremendous potential. I agree with those who believe the user manual needs some fleshing out. Also, I think the app playback would be more effective through the bottom speaker on the iPhone rather than the top (ear) speaker when there is no connector in the audio port. This would require proper feedback control features, of course.

Amazing

I bought this app over the weekend and I am hooked. The quality is outstanding - the interface is beautiful and it hasnt crashed on me once. There are many modules so a great deal to explore. As my brother told me, make sure you have a speaker node or you wont hear anything!

Needs an update ASAP

Hadnt used this in a while but was happy the new update included auto rotate. Tried it out this week and was unable to load or insert a scene. Now the app wont load at all. Im on an iPad with iOS 4.3.3 and really need an update to fix this.
